Welder certification & WPQR

Welder certification – We help you

We at Inspekt conduct welder qualifications according to SS-EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 and procedure monitoring, you are in need of either renewing certificates, adding new ones, or needing a procedure. Apply now to access our WeldApp- portal.

We have a complete destructive testing laboratory where we can perform bend testing, macro testing, and break testing.  We work in accordance with ISO/TR 16060, EN ISO 9017, EN ISO 5173, and EN ISO 14555 regarding destructive testing.

What is welder certification?

Welder certification is a formal process that assesses and verifies a welder's ability to produce strong and approved welds according to specified procedures. The process includes:

  • Weld tests based on approved welding procedures (WPS).
  • Inspection and testing of test welds (VT, RT, UT, bend test, etc.).
  • Certification issued by qualified inspectors or third-party bodies.
  • Compliance with standards such as ISO 9606, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, and EN 287.

Certified welders are essential in industries where safety, strength, and quality are critical factors, such as the oil and gas industry, power generation, construction, shipbuilding, and manufacturing.

What is procedure qualification?

Procedures are used to ensure that the method and material maintain the properties specified by a designer, for example. The procedure (WPQR) is used to create work instructions in the form of WPSs for welders. Inspekt has its own laboratory for destructive testing in connection with procedure qualifications.

WPQR—> Weld Procedure Qualification Record

WPS—> Welding Procedure Specification
